I am currently an Assistant Professor of Communication at Santa Clara University. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Agent-Based Social Simulation Modeling at the University of Southern California (USC). Prior to that, I was Postdoc in the CESAR Lab (Cognitive Embodied Social Agents Research) in the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University.

My academic roots are as a cognitive scientist/psychologist. Since my beginnings, I have learned and applied concepts and tools to this cognitive cognitive foundations, such as neuroscience, media effects, media psychology, virtual environments, and agent modeling. I utilize visualizations, intelligent artificial agents, computational tools (agent modeling, machine learning), and experimental design to address my curiosities about human behavior.
